About Us
Our pelvic health boutique provides a curated collection of products and online education courses to help you learn, (re)gain confidence and set you on a positive course to restore your pelvic health & wellness. All the while having fun with it!
Pelvic health care is often taken for granted and misunderstood. What is common vs what is normal? Is it ‘normal to pee my pants’? Is it normal to have pain with sexual play? The short answer for both is NO!
Hence our mission is to debunk the societal myths around what is accepted and what should be accepted. We are here to provide effortless means of accessing education related to common pelvic health concerns and give you access to the tools that enable you to take control of your health, wellness and/or recovery.
We envision a world where pelvic health care is just as common as going to the dentist or getting your eyes checked. Where it is simply something you acknowledge and rehabilitate or care for after having a baby, having surgery or experiencing transitions in life that can give rise to pelvic health struggles. It’s time to revolutionize our thinking around pelvic health. So together let’s challenge the questionable norms of society and break down the barriers, end the silence & misconceptions.
We will help guide you, inspire you and advocate for your pelvic health. We will help empower you to achieve your goals by providing you with expert, compassionate and professional resources.
We all deserve lifelong health. And we now know that this is attainable. There is hope. Welcome to your opportunity to optimize lifelong pelvic health. You are the master of your wellbeing so let’s take this ride together, let’s change the rules together and get you living your best, authentic life.
Founder and Principal Instructor:
Angelique Montano-Bresolin, PT
Pelvic Health Physiotherapist & Coach
Angelique Montano-Bresolin is a pelvic health physiotherapist and coach from Toronto, Canada. Her experiences as a competitive athlete sustaining many injuries, and surgery that brought on pelvic health issues, led her to the world of pelvic health care.
Frustrated by the lack of awareness and appropriate support in the field, Angelique has since become a dedicated advocate for pelvic health care for all genders and ages. Over the course of her clinical practice spanning 20+ years in physiotherapy and the rehabilitation of pelvic health conditions, she has seen it all and successfully supported her clients through challenging, as well as happy times and during life transitions.
Her expertise and professional training have focused on the assessment and treatment of pelvic conditions including but not limited to: bladder and bowel incontinence, pelvic & sexual pain (vulvodynia, vaginismus, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, painful bladder syndrome), pre and postnatal care, transgender care, prolapse, post-surgical, post-menopausal and post-cancer care.
While she continues to assist many individuals via one-on-one care at her practice, Proactive Pelvic Health Centre, Angelique is also motivated by a desire to provide support to others on a broader scale. She understands that not everyone is local, not everyone can access clinical care, and some are hesitant to, preferring to take this initial and important step from the privacy of their home.
Among her goals is to provide you with self-serve options, tools and solutions in meaningful and practical ways to help you take control of your pelvic health. Angelique and her team are here for you virtually, to help you get back to living your best life, doing more of the things you love to do and better enjoy the time with all those you adore.
